Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Manage and titrate cardiac drips, sedation, insulin, and other continuous infusions
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nurse aides
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in patient assessments, documentation, and emergency response

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license for identification and distance verification
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Experience with common ICU diagnoses: trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, renal failure
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Skill in titrating various drips (cardiac, insulin, sedation)
Comfortable floating to PCU and MedSurg with appropriate assignments
