Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced birthing center
• Attend deliveries independently and assist with cesarean sections and baby transitioning
• Manage high-risk patients including preeclampsia, diabetes, and substance use disorders
• Monitor and titrate IV drips such as magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, neonatologists, and anesthesia providers 24/7
• Float between labor and delivery, mother baby, and postpartum units as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington State (or compact license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience (consideration with 1 year if multiple travel assignments)
• LDRP experience essential; comfortable attending deliveries and circulating in c-sections
• Intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring (FHM) preferred
• Must be adaptable to unit workflows and open to feedback

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in labor and delivery, mother baby, and postpartum care
• Proficient in delivery attendance, c-section circulating, and baby catching
• Skilled in IV drip titration and electronic fetal monitoring (Centricity-perinatal)
• Strong ability to function in a team-based, high-acuity environment
