Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 4 weekend shifts per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert emergency and trauma nursing care to a diverse patient population
Triage and manage acute and subacute patients in a fast-paced ED with 88,000 annual visits
Perform Foley catheter insertions and port-a-cath insertions (ED-specific) with sterile technique
Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and midlevels to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret strips using Phillips monitors
Float between multiple facilities (main campus, Westgate, and freestanding ERs) as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
At least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
TNCC and ATCN certifications preferred
Must pass the DYS exam prior to accepting assignment
Natural hair color, no facial piercings, and clean-shaven for fit test (men)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR system
Strong understanding of sterile field and central line dressing changes
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Skilled in trauma assessment and management
Comfortable working in a high-volume ED with psych holds and burn patients
