Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units to support hospital-wide needs and build versatile skills
Perform hourly rounding and focus on exceptional patient experience
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medications with attention to detail
Support patients and families through every stage of the oncology journey with empathy and respect

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for PCU-level patients
Comfort managing ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Ability to titrate drips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment
