Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert one-on-one care to complex cardiac surgery patients
Monitor and titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Support patients on advanced therapies such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Interpret telemetry and respond swiftly to cardiac changes
Collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists available 24/7
Float to other inpatient units as needed to support the broader care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience with this patient population
Comfortable with titration of critical medications and advanced cardiac devices
Strong telemetry interpretation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Titration of vasopressors, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Management of Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO patients
Open-heart and complex thoracic recovery experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced 18-bed CVICU environment
