Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Start Date: 06-15-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM lunch, plus required Saturdays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and deliver hands-on treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide mobility progression and discharge planning support for acute, ICU, SNF, and observation patients
- Manage a full caseload of 5-15 patients daily with 30-45 minute appointments and one-hour new evaluations
- Collaborate with the care team in ER, Med/Surg, OB, and the hospital-based outpatient clinic
- Deliver thorough, independent care for a wide range of outpatient diagnoses in a rural community
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Physical Therapist license (must obtain ASAP)
- Current BLS/BCLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Comfortable working independently in rural healthcare settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong evaluation and treatment planning skills across acute to outpatient diagnoses
- Knowledge of discharge planning and mobility progression
- Ability to manage varied caseloads efficiently
- Flexibility to cover Saturdays and adapt to changing daily schedules
