Location: Redwood City, California

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times between 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM and end times between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM; weekend shifts may be required with a day off during the week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy services across acute care, ICU, med-surg, oncology, and cardiology units
Deliver specialized care to ventilated patients and those recovering from total joint replacements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Manage a varied caseload that includes cardiac surgery patients and complex medical conditions
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
Support patients through their entire hospital stay from admission to discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in orthopedics and total joint rehabilitation
Experience working with ventilated patients in ICU settings
Comfortable treating diverse patient populations including oncology and cardiology

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy across multiple specialties
Cerner electronic medical records system
Ventilator management and ICU therapy protocols
Orthopedic rehabilitation including total joint replacements
Cardiology patient care and post-surgical recovery
Oncology rehabilitation principles
