Location: Sitka, AK
Start Date: 07-06-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 10-hour shifts with on-call required
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle all types of elective and emergency surgical cases including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
- Multi-task efficiently to keep surgical cases moving smoothly throughout the day
- Provide after-hours call coverage for nights, holidays, and weekends
- Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care in a critical access hospital setting
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of submission
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, Associate, or Diploma)
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience in Critical Access Hospital or Rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, Associate degree in nursing or Diploma in nursing)
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Operating Room Nursing expertise
- Ability to handle diverse surgical specialties
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities
- Experience in rural healthcare settings a plus
