Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Northridge, California

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Varies depending on assignment, typically 8-hour shifts with start times varying; possible schedules include Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Monday
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Perform bedside swallow studies and video swallowing studies
- Develop individualized treatment plans for stroke, TBI, neuro, and trauma patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings
- Document patient progress using Cerner Powerchart EMR
- Float to assigned areas as needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Current CCC-SLP certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
- Experience with bedside swallow studies required
- Video swallowing studies experience preferred
- Trauma experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills for stroke, TBI, neuro, and trauma patients
- Proficiency with Cerner Powerchart EMR
- Ability to manage up to 9-13 patients per day depending on setting
- Comfort working with cognitive impairments and swallowing difficulties
- Flexibility to float between inpatient, outpatient, and rehab areas
