Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-26-2026

End Date: 08-25-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute inpatient settings
Provide compassionate rehabilitation services that help patients regain strength and independence
Document progress and adjust care plans to meet individual recovery goals

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient physical therapy interventions
Ability to treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical and stroke recovery
Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfort working in fast-paced hospital environments
