Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday requirements, rotating schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to postpartum mothers and newborns during their transition period
Monitor and manage magnesium drips for patients with pre-eclampsia and hypertensive disorders
Support families through the early bonding experience with their new babies
Collaborate with OB and neonatology teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
Float to Labor & Delivery when needed to assist with normal newborn transitions
Respond to low-census call shifts while maintaining flexibility and teamwork

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington or compact license
NRP and BLS certifications required
Experience with newborn transition and post-delivery magnesium management
Comfortable titrating magnesium drips and managing high-risk postpartum patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment skills for postpartum and newborn patients
Ability to recognize and respond to complications such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes
Familiarity with Centricity Perinatal EFM system
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
