Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers following AWHONN guidelines
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Magnesium and Oxytocin to support safe deliveries
Support healthy mom-baby couplets on the postpartum unit with a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Circulate during C-sections to ensure the safest arrival for every newborn
Collaborate with a consistent provider team in a tight-knit rural hospital setting
Float to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department as a helping hand when the unit is quiet

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently with strong clinical judgment
Must be clean-shaven or able to pass N95 fit testing for facial hair requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn care
Experience with OB Trace Vue fetal monitoring system
Skilled in neonatal respiratory support including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow
Excellent communication and teamwork in a rural, limited-resource environment
Ability to remain calm and decisive when the nearest NICU is over an hour away
