Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, one-on-one care to laboring patients and newborns
Monitor fetal strips and make critical, life-saving decisions in real time
Titrate Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin drips to keep moms and babies safe
Float to Med-Surg and ER when the hospital needs an extra set of skilled hands
Collaborate with the care team to follow AWHONN guidelines and quality metrics
Support families through every stage of the birth experience with empathy and expertise

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS certification required
ACLS, NRP, and STABLE preferred
Proven ability to read and interpret fetal monitoring strips
Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Strong critical-thinking skills and adaptability

Knowledge & Skills

Fetal monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin drips
Critical thinking under pressure
Floating comfortably between LDRP, Med-Surg, and ER
Meditech EMR experience
Philips telemetry monitors and Traceview/PIP EFM system
