Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to neonates requiring intensive support
Monitor and manage ventilators and central lines with precision
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, Neonatologists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
Float to Mother-Baby and L&D units to support newborns and families
Follow AWHONN/NANN staffing guidelines to deliver safe, high-quality care
Serve as a safety advocate when floating throughout the facility

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum three years of NICU nursing experience
Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities
Comfortable working independently with neonatal patients

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and central line care
Neonatal assessment and family-centered care
Floating between NICU, Mother-Baby, and L&D units
AWHONN/NANN staffing ratio guidelines
