Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6-7 shifts per pay period, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor and titrate critical medications including Pitocin and Magnesium
Support mothers through every stage of childbirth with evidence-based practices
Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes
Educate and empower families on breastfeeding and newborn care
Maintain the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines
Experience with high-risk obstetrics including hypertension and diabetes in pregnancy
Comfortable with continuous fetal monitoring and labor support
Skilled in medication titration and drip management
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
