Paramedic – UHC Staffing

Location: Breckenridge, Minnesota

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 24 hours on, 24 hours on-call (10 minutes response), followed by 96 hours off

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional and compassionate care to patients of all ages in pre-hospital and hospital settings
Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver individualized treatments according to established guidelines
Administer medications safely using the five patient rights and standing orders
Coordinate patient transfers and communicate status effectively during handoffs
Supervise EMTs and ensure safety for staff, patients, and bystanders
Adjust workload and staffing needs in real time to meet patient care demands

Qualifications

Active Paramedic License and NREMT-P certification
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
Valid Minnesota license required; ND license or Compact license with proof of Privilege to Practice also accepted
Experience providing ALS-level care preferred
Ability to work 24-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Life Support (ALS) procedures
Patient assessment and medication administration
CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator management
Intubation experience preferred
Titration of drips including nitroglycerin, heparin, IV fluids, and vasopressors
