Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; weekends and holidays vary based on department needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert emergency care to patients experiencing trauma, stroke, chest pain, and sepsis
Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate life-saving interventions
Administer and monitor IV drips while interpreting telemetry in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
Float to the OBS unit and Creighton Freestanding ER to broaden your clinical experience
Maintain compliance with strict infection-control policies including the no-artificial-nails rule

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
NRP preferred
Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience strongly preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal to verify 50-mile radius rule
Must pass an open-book skills exam with 90 percent or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ER nursing and trauma care expertise
Stroke assessment and TPA administration knowledge
Proficient with telemetry interpretation and common Level I trauma drips
Comfortable working 1:4 ratios in zones, 1:6 in Fast Track, and 1:1 in ICU/Trauma
Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
