Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
Float throughout Zone 1 facilities within a 60-mile radius, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently while delivering compassionate bedside care
Collaborate with respiratory therapists to troubleshoot vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen needs
Support patients requiring advanced therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact nursing license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Epic electronic medical records
Skilled in managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
Confident reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
Experienced with multiple ICU environments and patient acuities
Flexible and adaptable when floating between facilities
