Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to adult patients in a 33-bed ICU
Assess, monitor, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications safely and effectively
Interpret telemetry strips and document findings with precision
Collaborate with respiratory therapy on ventilator management from nasal cannula to full ventilation
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed while maintaining excellent patient ratios
Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
Willingness to work every other weekend and two holidays during contract

Drip Titration and Ventilator Management
Cardiac, stroke, and trauma patient care
GE monitor systems and strip interpretation
