Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to adult patients in a 33-bed ICU
Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex conditions including trauma, cardiac events, sepsis, and respiratory distress
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision
Interpret telemetry strips and document findings using GE monitoring systems
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver comprehensive patient care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed while maintaining appropriate patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU nursing experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal

ICU Nursing and Critical Care expertise
Patient Assessment and Telemetry Monitoring
Drip Titration and Ventilator Management
Strong clinical judgment and quick decision-making abilities
