Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
Monitor and manage laboring patients, including administration of Pitocin, insulin, and other IV drips
Perform patient assessments, triage, and emergency interventions as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn feeding
Maintain accurate documentation and pass all required competency exams

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
At least 1 year of recent LDRP experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Willingness to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license required (50-mile radius rule applies)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced labor and delivery setting
Proficiency with IV pumps (Alaris), monitoring equipment, and electronic health records
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate communication with patients and families
