Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling for core staff, travelers added in

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients in a 33-bed ICU
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including nurse aides and respiratory therapists
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed with appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Ability to work every other weekend and minimum 2 holidays per contract

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips and managing ventilators
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
