Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed Medical ICU
Manage complex drips including vasopressors and sedation (levophed, neo, cardene, precedex, propofol)
Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists to develop and implement treatment plans
Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) when ICU census is low
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring prompt recognition of changes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Previous travel experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule
Willingness to take and pass an open-book skills exam (90% passing score)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in ICU nursing and critical care
Proficiency in drip titration and ventilator management
Experience with bipap and vent settings
Ability to read and verify telemetry strips
Familiarity with Draeger monitors
