Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 09:00 - 22:00, every other weekend, holidays as per rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients in the emergency department with varying acuity levels
Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments as ordered
Monitor patient vitals and cardiac rhythms using Philips telemetry
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
Document patient care in Cerner (First Net) EMR system
Provide trauma care for Level III trauma patients and manage ventilators as needed
Maintain a calm and efficient environment during high-volume visits (100+ patients/day)

Qualifications

Current California RN license in good standing
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 3-5 years of ER experience, Level III trauma experience preferred
Proficiency in Cerner EMR (First Net)
Ability to handle high patient volume including pediatric and psych patients
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support
Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Ventilator management and airway support
Trauma assessment and stabilization
Cerner First Net charting skills
Team collaboration and patient advocacy
