IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (day shift), with on-call weekends (1-2 weekends per month, 30-minute response time) and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $78 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform interventional radiology procedures with precision and care
Operate advanced imaging equipment including Cerner and fluoroscopy systems
Assist radiologists during complex diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Document patient history, procedure details, and outcomes accurately
Participate in on-call rotations to provide emergency coverage

Qualifications

Active California Radiologic Technologist license (CRT)
ARRT certification in Radiography and Vascular Interventional (ARRT-VI)
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Fluoroscopy permit (Fluoro)
Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience preferred
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in interventional radiology procedures and sterile techniques
Expertise with Cerner EMR and radiology information systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills
Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and on-call duties
