Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM with one weekday off, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care during interventional radiology procedures, including chemo embolization, Y-90, and IVC filter placements
Maintain strict sterile field during invasive procedures and pass required SIMs lab skills
Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of IR techs, CT and ultrasound techs, and physicians
Perform and assist with central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state) - must be obtained prior to start
Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience
Neuro IR experience is mandatory
Level I trauma experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Ability to maintain sterile field and pass SIMs lab skills on day one
Travel teams must have their own vehicle for commuting

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR system
Skilled in IV access, central line dressing changes, and Foley catheter insertion
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for monitoring telemetry and ventilated patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
