Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients by assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the clinical team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and assist with basic hygiene needs
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Georgia (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and adapting to unit needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
- Basic vital signs measurement and monitoring
- Infection prevention and proper PPE use
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear, professional communication and teamwork
- Accurate charting and documentation practices
