Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and feeding as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and important observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Contribute to care planning and documentation with attention to detail
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (appropriate for Pennsylvania) in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
• Skillful in taking and documenting vital signs and observations
• Understanding of patient safety, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting and accurate documentation
• Good time management, organization, and compassionate bedside manner
