Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation, using proper body mechanics
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Support mealtime assistance and dietary needs with patience and attention
- Document care provided in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it promptly)
- Ability to pass background checks, TB test and required health screenings
- Comfortable with direct patient care and basic lifting/transfer tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident assistance
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and nursing direction
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
- Time management and reliable attendance
