Location: Lancaster, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts (exact days and start/end times to be confirmed by facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Support mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling with attention to dignity
Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
Communicate clearly with nurses and the care team to ensure seamless care
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow care plans
Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
Engage residents with respect, patience, and a positive attitude

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Demonstrated ability to provide safe patient handling and basic nursing care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Prior experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required
Able to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident assistance
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Infection control and basic hygiene best practices
Basic charting/documentation skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and clinical direction
