Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, helping them feel comfortable and respected
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly and accurately
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Support safe transfer and ambulation techniques to reduce risk of falls
- Collaborate with the care team to create a positive, person-centered environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in Connecticut
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and follow direction
- Clear background check and any facility-required health screenings or immunizations
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and basic clinical skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
