Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment
Assist the care team with daily routines and treatment plans to promote resident comfort and dignity
Document care and observations clearly and timely in the resident record
Communicate kindly and effectively with residents, families, and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required per facility policy)
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (typical requirement)
Completion of state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
Vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control and safe hygiene practices
Clear clinical documentation and timely reporting
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nursing staff
