Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—help with bathing, dressing, mobility, and meals
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
- Document resident care accurately and timely in charts and care logs
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through conversation, respect, and encouragement
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility health requirements (e.g., TB test, immunizations)
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication, and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care activities and mobility assistance
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with residents and team members
