Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; specific start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the facility (exact schedule to be provided by hiring team; may include day, night, or rotating shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct resident care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to preserve dignity and comfort
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report any changes promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and proper use of assistive devices
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident’s record
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Communicate respectfully and supportively with residents and their families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
- Active listing on the state nursing assistant registry
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (facility may require)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is helpful
- Reliable, compassionate, and strong interpersonal skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (state-specific) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of ADLs, hygiene assistance, and basic resident care
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and safe patient handling
- Comfort with electronic health record documentation
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Good time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
