Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility in a respectful manner
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and resident observations
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support care plans and participate in team huddles to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or state-accepted equivalent
• Valid state CNA credential for Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to care for others
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Basic familiarity with patient handling and infection control practices
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living assistance and safe transfer techniques
• Basic understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Team player mindset with strong interpersonal and observational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
