Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Support mobility and fall-prevention efforts with attentive assistance
- Document care activities in resident records promptly and accurately
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (state-approved)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work an 8-hour shift
- Prior experience in long-term care or clinical settings preferred but not required
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to assist with ADLs and basic patient care
- Competence taking and recording vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
- Calm, professional approach to challenging situations
