Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and document patient vitals and changes in condition accurately
Support nursing staff with timely tasks and clear communication
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper technique
Build rapport with patients and families to promote comfort and dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
State-required background checks and clearances as applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working 12.5-hour shift schedules
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Prior experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar healthcare setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care fundamentals
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with patient lifting and transfer equipment and safety
Ability to follow care plans, charting protocols, and HIPAA guidelines
Strong observational skills to report changes in patient condition
Compassionate bedside manner and good interpersonal skills
