Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Take and record vital signs and document care accurately
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and families to improve quality of life
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-appropriate) — Pennsylvania credentials preferred
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts and reliably meet scheduled assignments
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude
- Background checks and any facility-required screenings completed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Comfortable taking vitals and documenting observations
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes clearly
- Compassion, patience, and good interpersonal skills
