Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately to support clinical decision-making
• Provide safe, compassionate bedside care and comfort to patients
• Assist nursing staff with mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote safety
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Communicate effectively with the care team and patients’ families to ensure coordinated care
• Follow infection control and facility procedures to maintain a safe environment
• Support a positive, team-oriented workplace by pitching in where needed

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (state-appropriate)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient hygiene
• Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledgeable about infection control practices and PPE use
• Comfortable with basic charting and following care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions from nursing staff
