Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily personal care and support to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through attentive, respectful care
Document care activities accurately and follow care plans and facility protocols

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active or eligible to be listed in Connecticut nurse aide registry
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for older adults
Able to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
Reliable, punctual, and a team player who communicates clearly

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of safe transfer and ambulation techniques
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and teammates
Basic infection control and PPE practices
Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
