Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report clinical changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations in patient records
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and other team members to deliver coordinated care
- Contribute to a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and their families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state certification required; GA certification preferred)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work assigned 12.5-hour shifts and meet physical demands of the role
- Clear background check, TB screening and required immunizations per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient safety and infection control best practices
- Basic patient care procedures and ADL assistance
- Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
- Good situational awareness and ability to escalate changes in condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
