Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be determined

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
Perform basic patient care tasks such as meal assistance and mobility support
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Maintain clear, timely documentation to support continuity of care
Promote a safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Provide emotional support and friendly companionship to residents and families

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Connecticut certification preferred or eligible
BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Current immunizations per facility policy (e.g., flu, TB screening) or willingness to update
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Infection prevention and facility safety practices
Clear verbal and written communication with residents and team members
Teamwork, time management, and reliable attendance
