Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility and toileting in a respectful manner
Monitor, record and report resident conditions and vital signs to the nursing team
Support the interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care plans
Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
Document care accurately and timely in resident records

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) — must be valid for Connecticut
State-required background check and health screenings (e.g., TB) must be clear
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Reliable, compassionate, and able to perform physically demanding tasks

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
Infection control and safe patient handling practices
Good charting and documentation habits
Effective communication with residents, families and clinical teams
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
