Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
Coordinate patient care and assist providers and staff to ensure seamless clinic operations
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to promote clear communication and excellent experience
Perform and interpret EKGs and assist with cardiac monitoring and procedures as needed
Administer and educate patients about cardiac medications and respond to cardiac arrhythmias under established protocols
Document clinical findings and interventions accurately and participate in quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Valid MT Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Graduate of a nursing program
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Ability to function as a patient-provider liaison with strong clinical judgment

Education

Graduate of a nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmia recognition
Knowledge of cardiac medications and related clinical procedures
Basic coronary class knowledge
Medical terminology and core nursing principles and procedures
Keyboarding and basic office/clinical documentation skills
Strong communication and care coordination abilities
