Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging following established protocols
• Position patients accurately and safely to obtain diagnostically useful images
• Operate imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety best practices
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and image archiving in PACS/DICOM systems
• Participate in competency testing, skills checklists, and continuous quality improvement
• Ensure infection control, equipment cleanliness, and adherence to hospital policies
• Provide compassionate patient communication and support before, during, and after imaging

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (Radiography/CT) — required
• Valid Oregon radiologic technologist license — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required
• Successful completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings: drug screen, fit test, color vision, and immunizations
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of CT and X-ray imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Proficiency with digital imaging systems, PACS, and DICOM workflows
• Skilled in patient positioning, immobilization techniques, and contrast administration basics
• Clear documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
