Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for patients across a range of acute conditions
• Manage and monitor ER holds effectively to maintain patient safety and flow
• Perform thorough assessments, prioritize care and implement timely interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, colleagues and support teams to coordinate patient care
• Complete accurate and timely documentation and competency checklists
• Participate in specialty competency testing and skills verification to maintain ED readiness
• Support infection control protocols including fit testing and vaccination tracking

Qualifications

• Current RN license with license and certificate verification
• Certifications required BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Comfort and experience handling ER holds in a busy emergency department
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Current occupational health requirements met including fit test, required vaccines and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing practices and priorities
• Handling ER holds and patient flow management
• Life support and pediatric certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Trauma assessment skills supported by TNCC training
• Ability to complete specialty competency testing and skills checklists
• Strong teamwork, communication and clinical decision making in a fast-paced setting
