Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator parameters
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team during rounds
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in code situations
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the chart
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care goals

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (North Carolina or applicable multistate license)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; other critical care certifications preferred
• Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
• Ability to work overnight shifts for the duration of the 13-week assignment
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory care
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and titratable drips
• Solid medication administration and IV pump/charting practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Calm, decisive response to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Teamwork and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
