Roles & Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the outpatient imaging department to meet financial, quality, and operational goals.
Supervise and mentor Lead and Senior Technologists and provide indirect leadership to all technical staff.
Ensure consistent image quality control and enforce departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
Drive performance improvement initiatives and participate in program development to enhance patient care.
Partner with nursing, clerical staff, and service engineers to coordinate smooth delivery of imaging services.
Act as a clinical resource and educator for patients, families, students, and other departments.
Monitor staffing and productivity to support budget targets and foster employee satisfaction.
Investigate interdepartmental issues and implement corrective actions that improve patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by CA Dept. of Health Services OR current ARRT license (required)
Current CPR certification (required)
Minimum 5 years as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting (required)
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting (required)
Desired: 3–5 years of prior supervisory/managerial experience and certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, etc.)

Education

Associate Degree (preferred)
Certificate of Radiologic Technology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of radiography, patient positioning, radiographic exposure, and image quality control
Familiarity with quality assurance, radiation physics/protection, and radiobiology
Experience with Joint Commission, ACR, and California Title 17 & 22 compliance
Proven leadership, staff development, progressive discipline, and performance improvement skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interdepartmental coordination abilities
