Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography, sonography and CT exams across the lifespan using professional judgment and radiation protection principles
• Provide full-spectrum mammography services including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, specimen radiography and breast needle localization
• Maintain and execute department quality assurance/quality control programs and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, prepare procedure rooms, run automatic injectors and adjust contrast protocols by age group
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs and ensure compliance with ACR/FDA documentation requirements
• Support departmental operations by rotating shifts, taking call as required, and stepping into supervisory duties in supervisor absence
• Participate in supply inventory, ordering, departmental meetings, in-services and disaster drills
• Pursue continuing education to maintain competency in primary and ancillary modalities

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Ability to perform and document 100 mammograms per year and maintain required mammography CEUs per ACR/FDA
• Competency or certification in additional modalities encouraged (ARDMS, CT, MRI, ultrasound) — Tech II/III/IV levels per ARRT/ARDMS paths noted in posting
• Ability to perform venipuncture, sterile technique and competent contrast administration
• Comfort working with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds, and willingness to travel between SEARHC sites as needed

Education

• Certification: Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• ARDMS or additional modality certifications preferred
• BLS certification (AHA) required within 45 days of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiography, Mammography and CT operation and protocols
• Radiation protection and quality assurance practices
• Specimen radiography and stereotactic breast biopsy techniques
• Clinical record maintenance and regulatory compliance (ACR/FDA)
• Tele-radiology transmission competency and sterile technique
• Ability to adapt protocols for pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients
• Strong customer service, ethics and teamwork in a community health setting
