Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient mobility and transfers with proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and follow infection-control practices
Document care and observations clearly and timely in resident records
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights, prioritizing safety and comfort

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required) — Pennsylvania state certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire if required)
Prior experience as a CNA or in long-term care is a plus
Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and comfort measures
Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
Comfortable with basic charting and documentation
Team-player mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
